After years of dreaming, they celebrated a breathtaking destination wedding in Hacienda Atongo, Mexico, blending the enchantment of Disney with fine-art photography and dramatic chiaroscuro lighting.

From the moment we started planning their destination wedding in Hacienda Atongo, I knew this celebration would be unforgettable. The cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and vibrant colors of this historic city created the perfect backdrop for a couple who wanted romance, artistry, and a touch of fantasy.

Capturing Every Detail

On the wedding day, we embraced the unexpected—soft golden light after a brief rain, a lively mariachi serenade, and that unmistakable feeling of Disney enchantment. My goal was to blend fine-art wedding photography with authentic moments: quiet glances, spontaneous laughter, and the kind of dramatic lighting Janina loves.

To achieve this look:

Editing & Color Grading: I began with @aftershootco for the basic selection and initial coloring, then refined everything using my custom Mastin Labsfilm-style presets for timeless tones.

Lighting: My faithful Geekoto flashes paired with ROGUE system gels from @expoimaging allowed me to paint with light, adding depth and subtle color effects that echoed the couple’s Chiaroscuro inspiration.
